The Brushing Game That Actually Sees Your Kid Brush
Most brushing apps just run a timer. NURTO's free AI brushing game uses the camera to see your child brush and cheers them on through 18 playful worlds.
Why timers aren't enough
Every parent has been there. You send your child off to brush, the timer app plays its little song, and two minutes later they come out with a dry toothbrush and a big smile. Most kids' brushing apps only count down the clock, so they have no idea whether any brushing happened at all. We wrote more about that gap in our post Do Kids Actually Brush?
As a pediatric dentist, bedtime brushing battles are one of the things parents ask me about most. That's why we built the NURTO brushing game around the camera. It sees your child brushing, reacts in real time, and turns those two minutes into an adventure they want to finish.
How the NURTO brushing game works
1. Open the game on a phone, tablet or computer with a front camera and prop it up at the sink.
2. Your child sees themselves on screen with the game layered on top, so brushing and playing happen together.
3. The camera follows the brushing. NURTO's AI watches for brushing motion and the game responds while your child keeps going.
4. Their companion cheers them on and reacts as they brush, all the way to the end of the two-minute mission.
5. Progress builds over time with streaks, coins and a creature that grows, so kids want to come back tomorrow.
18 worlds to brush through
Brushing the same way every night gets old fast. NURTO's brushing game comes in 18 different worlds, each with its own look and story, so kids can pick where tonight's brushing adventure happens. It keeps the routine the same while making it feel new.
Timer apps vs. the NURTO brushing game
Knows if your child is brushing: a typical timer app just counts down. NURTO's camera sees brushing motion.
Reacts to your child: timer apps play the same song every time. NURTO's companion responds in real time.
Keeps it fresh: timer apps have one screen. NURTO has 18 worlds to choose from.
Rewards: timer apps sometimes offer stickers. NURTO has streaks, coins and a creature that grows.
Parent view: timer apps usually have none. NURTO lets you see your child's routine and streaks.
Price: timer apps vary. NURTO is free during early access.
Privacy built in
We know a camera in the bathroom is a big deal for parents. The brushing game processes the camera on your device, and you can even play right now with no account and nothing saved. Our COPPA notice explains how we protect children's information.

Frequently asked questions
How does an AI brushing game work?
It uses your device's front camera to see your child brushing. The game reacts to that movement in real time, so your child gets feedback and encouragement while they brush instead of just watching a clock.
Is the NURTO brushing game free?
Yes. You can play right away in the browser for free, and family accounts are free during early access.
Do we need to download an app?
No. NURTO runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers with a front camera.
Is it safe to use a camera for my child?
The camera is processed on your device. The quick-play version saves nothing at all. You can read the details in our privacy policy and COPPA notice.
What age is the brushing game for?
It's made for kids who are learning to brush and building the habit, from little ones brushing with a parent's help to older kids brushing on their own.
How long does each brushing session last?
Each adventure is built around a two-minute brushing mission, so the game ends right when brushing should.
Can I see if my child brushed?
Yes. With a family account, your parent view shows your child's brushing routine and streaks.
